a/n: sorry for the long wait but chapter 10 will be coming tomorrow โ™ก

Words couldn't describe how betrayed Sooyoung felt by her brother at that moment. Kuanlin had taken his men and left, leaving Sungwoon to give Sooyoung the address but he had a bit more to say after that turn of events. "Sooyoung, I promise you I didn't know he was gonna do that-"

"He fucking shot and kidnapped my best friend Sungwoon, I don't care right now!" She shouted in his face, wiping her tears away. "Give me that fucking address and get out of my face."

"Soo, I know you're mad at me but listen I can help both you and the triplets okay?" He quickly picked up a piece of scrap paper and pen which was lying on the coffee table and scribbled down a number. "Contact me on this number and I'll let you know what's going on on the inside while you figure out what you want to do. I'll help you, whatever it is."

As Sooyoung snatched the paper out of Sungwoon's hand and saw the apologetic look in his eyes, she was flooded with her childhood memories where it was just the two of them looking after each other. It suddenly dawned on her that her brother was really back and although she wanted to punch him instead she found herself attacking him with a hug. Sungwoon relaxed as he hugged her back, just as tightly and for a moment they both forgot the chaos going on around them and how they were on the opposite sides of it. The boy reluctantly let her go, backing towards the door. "I've gotta go but contact me on that number okay?"

Sooyoung nodded, feeling alone as she stood in the now empty apartment. There was a dent on the dining table from where she'd pushed Kuanlin and a blood stain by the front door. She sure as hell hoped that Joy didn't decide to do one of her surprise visits right now. Instead, someone else came through the front door. "Sooyoung hey, Jinsol left her phone in my car and- oh, are you crying?"

"Jungeun you should go home." Sooyoung said sadly, trying to usher the younger girl out of the door before she noticed anything but it was too late. Jungeun pointed to the red stain on the floor and then looked up to Sooyoung in suspicion. "Oh my god is that blood? Wait, I saw some dodgy looking guys coming from this way down the hall. I didn't think they had anything to do with you but..."

Exhausted from all the lying, Sooyoung decided to let Jungeun in and proceeded to explain everything to her, including the fact the triplets weren't related to them at all and they'd had a criminal hunting them down. She told every bit of what had happened up to the point of when Jinsol had gotten to the apartment but Sooyoung was unable to finish her story as Jungeun shot up in anger. "They what!? Fuck this, I'm calling the cops-"

"Jungeun, you can't! If they find out it'll get even worse because they- they shot her."

Jungeun's hand rose to cover her mouth in an attempt to conceal her expression but it didn't help as the tears left her eyes regardless. She paced across the room before looking back at Sooyoung, pain filling her eyes. "How could you let this happen?"

"Let it happen? Are you crazy Jungeun? What was I supposed to do? They had fucking guns!"

"Something! Anything! And now she could be dying locked in some psycho CEO's basement for fuck sake!"

"Calm down." Sooyoung said loudly, trying to gain some rationale. "Look, they know where we live now so I can't be here. And neither should you. I need to phone Haseul."

The dancer called Haseul's number and felt her heart drop as she heard Chaewon's voice on the other end, sounding like she'd just woken up. "H-hello?"

"Chae? What are you doing with Haseul's phone?"

"I was playing games on it in bed before I fell asleep. I would say I'm mad that you guys made me stay at this Vivi woman's apartment tonight but it's so much better than your place." Chaewon said honestly but the child grew worried as she heard Sooyoung laugh instead of say something along the lines of "You little shit" or "Maybe next time you can stay in Hell". It was kind of weirding her out. "Okay... hey is Auntie Sol there? I wanna show her a picture of this fish pond we saw in the park today, I know she'd really love it. I sent it to her phone but she's not replying."

Sooyoung's smile faded as she looked to Jungeun who heard the whole conversation. The younger girl held up Jinsol's phone to show a lot of text messages from Chaewon who was saved in her phone as 'WONNIE BEST GIRL :D'. How was Sooyoung supposed to tell an eight year old that her favourite aunt had been shot, kidnapped, and could potentially be dying? The correct answer was that she shouldn't tell her. "Um, Jinsol's still out with Jungeun right now."

"But she'll be home tomorrow right? My moms never have time to go with me so Jinsol said she would take me to the aquarium." Chaewon said with a hint of disappointment in her voice. It was killing Sooyoung to have to tarnish the image of the adult who was practically Chaewon's rock but it had to be done. She knew it's what Jinsol would've wanted rather than having her niece distraught. "I don't know about that Chae, I'm sorry."

The line was silent for a few seconds and Sooyoung could've sworn she heard a sniffle from the other side but she didn't have time to say much as Chaewon bitterly spoke again. "Whatever. I'm used to this anyway. Night, Yves."

"Night, Chaew-" And with that the child had hung up the phone and Sooyoung felt like the antagonist in a Disney movie right now. Jungeun looked just as guilty as she complained about Sooyoung's excuse for Jinsol. "You could've told her something else. Now she's going to think Jinsol ditched her."

"What else was I supposed to say? She's not stupid Jungeun, she would've figured out something's off."

Jungeun sighed and put her jacket on, confusing the older girl. "Well you can't stay here so contact Haseul some other way and tell her the address we're about to go to."

"And where's that?"

"My family's lake house."

Haseul slowly opened the door to the guest bedroom Chaewon was soundly sleeping in, or so she thought. She was greeted nicely with her phone being tossed towards the doorway as Chaewon angrily pulled the blanket over her head, attempting to conceal herself but Haseul could still hear her quiet cries. The student sat herself on the empty space of the bed next to Chaewon, approaching her cautiously. "Everything okay buddy?"

"No." Chaewon's muffled voice said honestly. Haseul subtly pulled the blanket off of her head, slightly scared the small blonde would shout at her but instead she rested her head on Haseul's lap. "Why does no one want me?"

"What? Chae you know that's not true."

"Are you sure about that? You know, the other day my moms said I had to stay with the babysitter because they were working which is fine because I'm used to it... but then I saw on the computer they posted a picture of them out at a restaurant. They lied to me because they wanted to get away from me for the night." Chaewon admitted sadly and Haseul allowed her to carry on. "I thought Jinsol was the only person who really wanted to be there for me but now this stupid Jungeun woman came she's gonna leave me too. Just like everyone else."

"Chaewon, I understand why you think that but you're wrong. As someone who's lived with your aunt for over three years, I can't even count the amount of times Jinsol's gushed over you. Hell, I even remember the first time you visited our apartment you were only four years old and she talked about you like you were the most precious thing in the world. Honestly that whole day before you came it was 'Sooyoung don't swear in front of her' 'Haseul throw away your text books because the place needs to look tidy'. She was a freaking maniac but it was all for you kiddo. I don't know a lot about your parents but Jinsol, she loves you."

Chaewon looked contemplatively into the space around her and it seemed that she understood as she gave Haseul a small nod. The student stood up and tucked covers over the blonde, switching on Jinsol's starry nightlight she'd taken with her from the apartment. Haseul quietly closed the door behind her as she left the room. She looked at her phone, frowning at the newly formed scratch on the screen but her expression changed as she saw the string of missed calls and texts from Sooyoung.

"Everything okay?" Haseul looked up from her phone to see Vivi looking at her in concern. "Haseul your hands are shaking, what happened?"

"U-uh, I... I need you to look after the triplets for me tonight, and probably tomorrow." Haseul said as she noticed the kids in question appear from behind Vivi, looking very sleepy and ready to go home. Vivi looked back at them and then back to Haseul, worry filling her eyes. "Okay but can you tell me why?"

"Vivi, I don't think I should. It's... it's not safe for you to know but please keep them in the apartment tomorrow. I'm hoping I can sort out the problem by then so I would really appreciate if you could trust me enough to do this for me." Haseul pleaded. She grew worried as Vivi looked to the side in contemplation but that turned into surprise as the older woman planted a deep kiss on her lips, almost as if she was worried this'd be the last time she'd see the student. "I trust you Haseul, but please come back safely."

"I will." Haseul held Vivi's hands, squeezing them comfortingly before heading out the door to face god know's what. It was at times like this her heart would feel just a little bit more at ease knowing she had her best friends by her side but with one of them missing, she couldn't help but feel half empty.

Jungeun handed Sooyoung a cup of tea as they sat in the living room of her family's cabin. The older girl was grateful for her hospitality but she knew that the swimmer was going to get angry at what she was about to say. "Jungeun, thank you for this. Really, I'm grateful, but... you need to go home."

The dancer almost flinched as Jungeun slammed her own cup down on the table, holding her head in her hand as she sighed in frustration. "Sooyoung if you think I'm just gonna go and pretend that nothing happened, you're crazy. I agreed I wouldn't call the cops but I'm not sitting here while the girl I love is in danger. I don't care what happens to me and neither should you, we just need to get her back safely."

Jungeun suddenly looked up and slowly turned to Sooyoung as she just realised what she'd said. Sooyoung's eyes were looking at her just as widely but her surprised expression soon turned to a sincere smile. "You love her?"

"Y-yeah, I do." Jungeun said, trying not to look so embarrassed at vocalising her feelings but Sooyoung could tell that a weight was lifted off her. She put a hand on her shoulder reassuringly and smiled before saying "I don't understand why out of everyone on this planet you're whipped for ex blondie, but I respect it."

In perfect timing, Haseul knocked on the door and Jungeun went to let her in, ushering her to the main room. Sooyoung almost felt herself about to cry again as her eyes met Haseul's but she felt comforted for the first time that night as the younger girl wrapped her in a hug. Haseul knew how traumatic the whole scene must've been for the dancer so she decided to suppress her scolding for the time being. "So, what's the plan?"

"Well, the obvious thing is that we give the triplets back." Haseul looked at Sooyoung in annoyance, hoping that she wasn't really thinking that. The older girl shrugged under her friend's harsh gaze. "What? It would be the easiest thing to do."

"I can't believe you seriously just suggested that- you know what? I'm unhugging you." Haseul declared confidently, making Sooyoung look at her judgementally as she tried to defend herself. "Wha- you can't un hug someone dumbass."

"Watch me." Jungeun lost about ten braincells as Haseul wrapped her arms around Sooyoung and then proceeded to dramatically release the older girl, making her stumble back into the coffee table. Sooyoung then proceeded to force Haseul's arms back around her, mockingly calling it a 'rehug'. The whole display just made the youngest in the cabin question how these best friends could possibly have looked after three children for so long. She finally decided to break the vigorous hugging attacks, shouting at the both of them. "Hey! I thought you guys were looking after kids, not acting like them. Both of you sit on the couch. Now."

Sooyoung and Haseul gave each other a dirty look before doing as Jungeun instructed. Her shouting kind of unlocked the same fear in them as when their own mothers used to shout at them. The youngest student paced up and down as she dictated her thoughts. "How are we going to save Jinsol and keep the kids out of it? There's only three of us and you said it yourself Sooyoung, he has some big scary guys."

The cogs starting turning in Sooyoung's brain, and not the ones that she used to flirt with pretty girls. She looked at the two other girls as if she'd come up with some sort of revelation. "But we do have some big scary guys."

"We do?" Haseul and Jungeun said in unison.

"My brother. It's a long story but he's working with Daniel and he told me that he'd act as an inside man if I needed him to help me get Jinsol back." Sooyoung revealed. "I think I've got an idea but Jungeun, we're gonna need your minivan. Can you put the seats down in there?"

"Yeah, but why?"

"Just trust me for now. While I try to figure things out with Haseul tonight, get the van and meet us the university tomorrow morning. For now you should go home and rest, you won't be any use to Sol if you're falling half asleep."

Now Haseul was equally as confused but Jungeun reluctantly complied and left them the keys to the cabin. Haseul watched as Sooyoung walked up to a display of a world map up on the wall and pulled it off, turning it around before laying it out on the coffee table. The music student looked at her and scoffed. "Jungeun left for ten seconds and you're already destroying the place."

"Oh shut up Seuly, you know she wouldn't care... I just hope this thing isn't expensive." Sooyoung said as she remembered that the Kim family were pretty well off and she herself was very much not. Nevertheless, she proceeded to get a marker out of a drawer nearby and write something across the top. Haseul raised an eyebrow at words. "The plan?"

"Haseul no, it's not 'tHe pLaN' it's 'The Plan'." Sooyoung corrected. There was a moment of silence before the duo looked at each other and laughed, thinking about how Jinsol would've been so proud of the name. As Sooyoung hunched over and carried on writing stuff, Haseul asked "So what is The Plan exactly?"

"Well, as much as I like to talk big, we really can't do this alone. We're going to need help from people."

"What people? We don't know anyone, you know, criminal." Haseul said, whispering the last word. Sooyoung looked at her, dropping her shoulders in disappointment. "Seriously? Just say criminal Haseul, no one's here."

"You don't know that."

"Anyways, who needs criminals when you have sleep deprived, depressed university students." Sooyoung said proudly as Haseul caught on to what she meant.

"What? You're not seriously thinking of roping our classmates into this are you?"

"We might not have any other choice Seul, who else do we even know? Plus it wouldn't be all of them, just the useful ones."

"How touching Sooyoung, you should totally put that in your graduation speech. 'A special thanks to my classmates that were actually useful in helping us commit crimes, fuck the rest of you'."

Sooyoung glared at the younger girl with an unimpressed look before rolling up the map and grabbing her phone. "Just in case things go wrong, we need to tell to people we can trust on the outside that we know would help us if shit goes badly. And what better people than our professors."

The next morning, the duo found themselves in the Pontiac with Haseul driving them to the university. It was difficult to see since they were driving in a forest at the break of dawn but Sooyoung could have sworn she could see faint lights from behind her. "Dude, do you see that?"

"See what? Your scary ass reflection in my windshield?" Haseul asked as she turned down the path. Before Sooyoung could wittily reply the girls noticed another car behind them, all black and the same model of car they saw outside Jeongyeon and Nayeon's place a while back. Sooyoung sat up and looked in the rear view mirror to see the man in the passenger seat holding a gun outside the window. "Shit Haseul, they found us."

"Already? But in the movies the cabin in the woods is always the secret base of operations, how did they find us so fast?"

As Haseul sped up the car, Sooyoung grabbed the driver's phone and looked at the status bar at the top. "Seul, you have your location on?!"

"What!? I always have it on in case it's an emergency and I'm dying and I'm in an isolated place where my body may never be found."

Sooyoung looked at the younger girl while every inch of her tried not to throttle her right there but there was no time for them to fight as the man behind them fired a bullet at the car. Thankfully, the darkness moderately disrupted his aim so it only clipped the side but regardless, they needed to get the hell out of there. "Haseul, pull over to the side!"

"Sooyoung, we're in a forest. There is no 'side'! It's literally just forest ground."

"Then pull over on there before we get our brains blown out!" Haseul complied and pulled the car over at the edge of what seemed like a hill, but it was still too dark to see the bottom. As Sooyoung switched off the headlights, Haseul turned on her phone torch and shined it right in the older girl's face. "Do you think they're gone?"

Sooyoung swatted the phone away and suddenly ducked as the black car slowly drove passed them. Luckily Haseul had reversed into some bushes, having enough foliage to cover the car. The dancer let out a sigh of relief as she turned on the car light again. "Okay, I think we're good."

They were most certainly not good.

"Wait, do you feel that?" Haseul commented as the car seemed to be moving although she had turned the engine off. Before Sooyoung got the chance to reply, the car started rolling backwards, confirming that they were definitely on a hill. "Shit, we need to get out."

"No! I can't just let the car go-"

"You're gonna have to let your life go if you don't unlock these fucking doors Haseul!"

Haseul was about to unlock the doors before she turned to Sooyoung. "Wait, do you mean because we're about to roll into a ditch or because you're going to kill me?"

"Take a guess." Sooyoung said threateningly, prompting Haseul to nod and unlock the doors. They both managed to jump out the car before watching it roll down a hill and into the lake below with a loud splash. The duo stood there in silence as they watched the vehicle sink, trying to process what just happened before Sooyoung cautiously turned to Haseul. "Uh, sorry about the car buddy."

Haseul wiped a tear from her eye as she tried to compose herself. "They're gonna pay for destroying my baby."

"What the fuck- why are you more upset about the Pontiac getting trashed than you were about Jinsol being kidnapped???"

Haseul didn't answer as she started power walking across the forest trail, using her phone torch as a light source. Sooyoung threw her arms up in defeat as she followed her. They were about to have a long walk to the university.

Jungeun was on her third cup of coffee for the morning as she tried to stay awake while waiting for Sooyoung and Haseul. She hadn't been able to sleep that night as all she could think of was how Jinsol was doing and what had happened to her. She felt a mixture of sadness, worry, and anger at the fact that she had finally gotten the girl only for her to be taken away. A small portion of that anger was directed to Jinsol herself, and her roommates, for being irresponsible enough to get themselves into this situation in the first place but there would be time to discuss that later. For now she waited for Sooyoung's call in her car in an uncomfortable silence.

"Can't. Feel. Legs." Haseul complained as her and Sooyoung walked up the stairs to Hani's room. It had taken the two of them just over two hours to hike from the forest to the university and it was safe to say that they'd definitely be feeling it in their legs the next day. They just about made it to the classroom door before collapsing in the room, unable to get up. Hani peered up from her computer, squinting her eyes at her student's friends. "Um, can I help you?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna need some crutches and a whole lot of ice because my feet are burning." Haseul breathily said as she flopped back onto the floor. Sooyoung was sprawled out next to her and found herself unable to move but nonetheless she had to explain the situation to the biology professor. "Doctor Hani, I don't know if you remember us but we're Jinsol's roommates. Sooyoung and Haseul."

"Oh yeah, I have heard about you two. Momo, Tae, they're your students right?" Sooyoung suddenly looked up in confusion only to see an intimidating Taeyeon and Momo looming over her. Momo put her hands on her hips as she frowned at her student. "Yves, what are you doing here at seven in the morning?"

"I would ask the same for you Haseul but it's you so I don't think I even wanna know that answer." Taeyeon said with her arms folded. Sooyoung and Haseul mustered up all the energy they could to stand up, both of them cowering as the three professors stood expectantly in front of them. Sooyoung smiled politely and quickly turned herself and Haseul around. "Seul, how do we tell them?"

"I think we should keep calm and just tell the truth." Haseul whispered, Sooyoung nodding before they turned around to face the older women. Haseul took a breath before explaining their situation. "Professor Kim, you gotta help us man! We've become moms of three kids and we totally suck at it and those kids happened to be the children of Kang Daniel who's also a scary criminal dude and they came to our apartment and shot Jinsol and won't give her back until we give those triplets to him-"

Taeyeon suddenly clapped her hands in Haseul's face to snap her out of her panicked rambling. "Jo! Calm the fuck down!"

Haseul nodded as she earned a dirty look from Sooyoung along with her complaining. "Really Haseul? That was your calm explanation?"

"What? Might as well put it all out there." Haseul shrugged as Hani paced up and down, talking partly to herself and to the others. "I knew it! I knew there was something up with Jinsol the past couple of months. She always acted so weird when I'd ask about that purple kid in my class and- hold up, can we go back to the part where you said she's been shot?!"

Sooyoung looked to Haseul before proceeding to explain the whole thing properly to the professors who each seemed to have surprisingly contrasting reactions. Momo was practically already dialling 911 as she cursed at Sooyoung for not telling anyone about it. Taeyeon proceeded to call them quite a few degrading names while Hani tried to stop Momo from calling the police straight away. In a weird way, Sooyoung and Haseul felt as if they'd been transported back to that day when the triplets first came to their apartment, the three of them arguing about what to do, only to get themselves into this huge mess and to the point where it felt like history was repeating itself all over again. Finally when Hani had taken off her shoe to threaten Momo, Sooyoung decided to intervene. "Doctor Ahn, wait! You guys can't be fighting because we need your help. All three of you."

Momo sighed as she took a seat next to Taeyeon. "Sooyoung, you know we have no choice but to go to the police. This is a big safeguarding issue not only for you and your friends but also those little girls."

"We know Miss Hirai and we totally get that you'll have to go to the police but can we ask you to hear us out first? We thought of a plan to get Jinsol back safely while keeping the triplets safe but it won't work if we're sitting in a police station answering a million different questions while Jinsol's still out there." Haseul looked pleadingly at the professors who shared a look of a agreement before letting the duo speak. Sooyoung thanked them and quickly ran to the whiteboard at the front of the room, writing two words in big letters - 'The Plan'.

"Okay, this is gonna sound crazy but long story short we're going to take the triplets to Daniel as bait to get Jinsol back. Before you question me, yes I know that Daniel's probably prepared for that but what he doesn't know is that I have an inside man, my brother Sungwoon. So when we give Daniel the triplets and we get Jinsol back, Sungwoon will turn the tables on that dic- sorry I mean bad man - and we'll all leave together. Happily."

"Hm..." Taeyeon put her hand on her chin in thought as she came to a conclusion. "Yep, you're crazy. Momo call the cops."

"Wait wait, that's not it. It wouldn't just be us trying to do this thing, we'd get some of our classmates to help too. Haechan happens to own a soccer mom van like Jungeun's so we'd use him as a decoy when we get the fuc- the hell out of there."

"And obviously we wouldn't leave him to get away alone, Seunghee would be there to drive." Haseul elaborated and Taeyeon nodded in acknowledgement. "Well, that girl is a pretty erratic driver I'll give you that."

"You're probably about to tell us off even more but Soojin's dad has a hunting gun which she knows how to use and E:U goes to police cadet school in the weekdays so she knows how to shoot. They could come with us too in case things get messy. We really have thought about this Professors." Sooyoung and Haseul waited anxiously for their teachers to think over their plan but they didn't have to wait long as they were presently surprised by the answer Taeyeon gave them. "Fine. You can try your plan but as soon as it hits 1pm, we're calling the police. Even if you've got Jinsol back what you've been doing, and are about to do, is very illegal and utterly stupid. Honestly, you'd think the three of you share one braincell."

"Oh they definitely do." Hani added and Haseul nodded in agreement. Sooyoung let out a sigh of relief, impulsively hugging the teachers. "Thank you guys so much, we'll get her back I swear."

"We hope you do, for all of your sakes."

Sooyoung nodded before leaving the room with Haseul to call Jungeun and the other students involved in their scheme. Haseul gave the older girl her phone to show her a collage of The Plan she'd made on, and I quote, "an amazing graphics design app called PicsArt". As the trio of teachers watched them leave they sat up straight and looked at each other sporting concerned expressions. Momo looked to Taeyeon for an opinion. "Tae, we're calling the cops now right?"

"Oh hell yeah." Taeyeon held her phone up only for it to be snatched out of her hand by Hani. "Ahn, I swear to god you better give me that phone."

"It's Doctor Ahn, Taeyeon. And no because I don't think you understand how bad that'll be for all of the parties involved in this mess our idiot students have created."

"You can't be serious?" Momo intervened. "You don't actually think Sooyoung's plan is gonna work right? It sounds like something out of a shit action comedy movie."

Hani sighed as she sat on the desk in front of her colleagues. "Yes, no, I don't know. But I think we should honour what we told them. We'll let them try and if it's a bust, we'll call the police after lunch today."

Momo and Taeyeon shared a look as if to say "These bitches are absolutely insane" but nevertheless they nodded in agreement, mentally praying for their students' wellbeing.

Darkness. And a huge headache. That's all Jinsol could sense at that moment as she opened her eyes to see the unfamiliar setting. It'd felt like she'd been asleep forever and right then she wished she was asleep as she felt a sharp pain near her rib, as if someone had stabbed her multiple times in that one spot. She looked down to see her stomach exposed and covered in blood from what looked like a very badly stitched wound. Before she could question anything from this strange scenario she woke up into, a voice from across the fully white room seemed to be one step ahead of her. "Jung Jinsol. Twenty one years old. Attends St. Grimes' University along with her two roommates, Jo Haseul and Ha Sooyoung. Also has a sister called Park Chaeyoung and of course, a niece by the name of Park Chaewon. Should I go on?"

Daniel looked at the student with a smirk on his face, feeling a sense of power over her by flexing his knowledge but that smirk faded as soon as Jinsol opened her mouth. "Woah, are you that famous idol company CEO dude? What's his name... oh! Park Jinyoung!"

"What?! You did not just call me JYP." Daniel said in disgust but Jinsol seemed very sure of herself. "Really? I mean I might be a little hazy from this huge ass wound near my ribs right now but I'm pretty sure it's you dude."

Daniel stared at her with a blank expression before facepalming with a deep sigh. "Bae Jinyoung warned me from his intel that you were a weird one. I should've taken him more seriously."

"I'm the weird one? You're literally holding me hostage in your basement man. I'm sure your idols wouldn't be happy about that-"

"I'm not JYP!" Daniel shouted but Jinsol simply shrugged, leaning back on the bed one of her hands was cuffed to. Suddenly Choi Yena occupied her thoughts once again as she thought about the last time she was cuffed to a bed, obviously not under the same circumstances as her current situation. The man sighed and sat on a chair in front of her. "You know what I might as well fill you in on what's going on because it seems that you need every available braincell you've got to actually function like a normal person. Your friend Sooyoung has agreed to give me my kids back in exchange for your life-"

"She what-" Jinsol wanted to verbally scold her roommate but the sudden movement she made caused an excruciating pain for her, leading Daniel to his next point. "Oh yeah, about that, my friend Kuanlin shot you and uh, you're not getting that bullet taken out of you or that nasty wound stitched up properly until Miss Ha brings my girls back. Think of yourself as a human sand timer I guess, I just hope your friend makes it before your time runs out."

Daniel couldn't help but smirk again as he stunned Jinsol into silence before leaving the room but contrarily to his belief, she wasn't scared of the man - more so angry at Sooyoung for agreeing, and herself for getting shot, but mostly Sooyoung. She mentally prayed to herself that her best friends would do the right thing for the triplets, as hard as it would be, Jinsol had to accept her fate at this point as she felt more blood trickle down her stomach by the minute. As she laid back on the uncomfortable bed and closed her eyes, she couldn't help but think of Jungeun and how they didn't even get a chance to make it past their first date... so maybe she hadn't totally accepted her fate yet. After all, she had a loving girlfriend, three wonderful kids, and two idiots waiting for her on the outside, they would definitely want her to try and survive and so she would try, for them. "Hey, Jinsol?"

"Hey me?" Jinsol opened her eyes in confusion as she saw the last person she would've expected to see in her kidnapper's basement. "Sungwoon? What the hell are you doing here?"

"I can't explain it all now but I just wanted to let you know that Sooyoung sent me to tell you not to worry, her and Haseul are coming to save you. They've got a whole plan and everything."

Jinsol slumped back on the bed with a sigh at the thought of her two best friends being her knights in shining armour. "Oh great, I guess I'm never getting out of here."
